Maintenance planning

In the event of a voluntary interruption of service, for example to perform an update, we provide you with the maintenance planner. This tool allows you to define time slots during which no alerts will be sent. When maintenance is completed, the monitoring of your services will automatically resume.

  • Summary

Maintenance operation

To schedule maintenance in Hitflow, you must define a period of time during which no alerts will be sent to contacts in the departments that are being modified. To limit the occurrence of maintenance-related errors in reports, you can also choose to automatically disable monitoring during this period. documentation/maintenances.text-203

Maintenance procedure

By consulting the list of maintenance of your account, you can see three distinct steps:

  • Soon: Maintenance is scheduled and will arrive soon.
  • In progress: Maintenance is currently in progress, which means that errors detected will not be alerted and that if the option has been selected, monitoring is disabled.
  • Completed: Maintenance has passed, our robots are allowed to send alerts again and monitoring has been reactivated for all services affected by maintenance.

Recurrence of a maintenance

When you plan maintenance, you can define a recurrence that can be either daily, weekly or monthly. By choosing one of these values, you indicate to the robots that at the end of the current maintenance, they will have to automatically create a new maintenance by duplicating the configuration parameters.

Plan a maintenance period

To schedule a maintenance, you must connect to the manager and then from the navigation menu open the "Alerts" section and click on the "Maintenance" button.

  1. Click on the Schedule Maintenance button to open the creation form.
  2. Once the form is open, define the name of the maintenance.
  3. Using the calendar, choose the start and end of maintenance.
  4. In the case of recurring maintenance, you can define the repetition frequency.
  5. Enable the automatic deactivation option if you want to stop monitoring robots during this period and not display errors in your reports.
  6. Using the lists of websites and servers, select the services that will be impacted by maintenance.
  7. Once the form is complete, simply click on the Save button to confirm and schedule this maintenance.

When you return to the list, you will notice the presence of the maintenance you have created!
